Treat signs of aging by reducing wrinkles.
A filler is a relatively new procedure used to treat signs of aging by reducing wrinkles, and has proven to be a great non-surgical form of facial rejuvenation. The procedure is considered a safe, effective way of treating aging skin. Common areas for filler injections include forehead, vertical lines between the eyebrows and crow’s feet around the eyes.
Dermal fillers are purely cosmetic.
Large wrinkles on the forehead
Facial wrinkles
Vertical frown line between eyebrows
Small wrinkles around your eyes
A small amount of filler is injected into the area of the wrinkle. The injection works by relaxing facial muscles by blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles. The result is the skin begins to smooth out. The effects of a filler treatment will last approximately 3-6 months after which the patient may choose to repeat the procedure.
Patients generally return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Patients should avoid applying cosmetics, engaging in heavy physical exercise or laying down flat for a minimum of 4 hours after the injections. It is also advisable to avoid rubbing or massaging the injected area for at least 24 hours.
